  • Working with children who may have ASD, communication needs, sensory needs, PMLD or physical difficulties.
  • Helping to create a calm, positive environment where pupils can learn at their own pace.
  • Supporting with personal care, feeding, and moving & handling when needed (training can be arranged).
  • Building consistent, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Working as part of a team that includes teachers, therapists and other LSAs.
  • Using visual aids, communication tools or Makaton where appropriate.

No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.

About the School

  • A team who work together to help every pupil grow in confidence and independence.

The school is within reach of Amesbury, Wilton, Laverstock, Downton, and surrounding areas.

  • Be patient, calm and able to adapt to different situations.
  • Have some experience supporting children or young people (formal or informal).
  • Be willing to support pupils with complex or additional needs, including personal care.
  • Be a good communicator and a supportive team member.
  • Preferably hold a DBS registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one.
  • Be open to further training and development.

Salary

£88.92 – £98.92 per day, depending on experience.
