Contract: Full-time / Long-term

Pay Rate: £92.56–£105.56 per day (depending on experience)

Vision for Education is recruiting a caring, committed and motivated Learning Support Worker to support children and young people in a welcoming and inclusive 3–16 special needs school in the Cwmbran area. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting learners with additional learning needs and making a meaningful impact in education.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Worker in Cwmbran, you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs. You will play a key role in helping learners develop academically, socially and emotionally within a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group learning support
Support pupils with a range of SEN and additional learning needs
Assist the class teacher with classroom activities and behaviour management
Promote independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and safeguarding procedures
Support personal care needs where required

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable
A patient, positive and resilient approach
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, Learning Support, SEN, or equivalent are advantageous
