Vision for Education is seeking multiple Learning Support Assistant for Key Stage 4 to work in local special education schools in Hartlepool.
About the role
The role will start in April 22 and it will be working in multiple schools on a one-to-one basis and general classroom support in friendly and supportive SEND schools. The children are aged 14 to 16 with Social and Emotional needs and require pastoral and academic support. The opportunity is perfect for someone with previous work experience in a Learning Support Assistant or care home setting supporting vulnerable people who feel confident to transfer to a classroom setting. The specialist schools cater for students in with engagement challenges, learning difficulties and social or emotional and mental health problems. The schools offer brilliant facilities and resources, the staff here pride themselves on their child-centred approach to providing an education for everyone. Public transport links are accessible to and from the school, but access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
Requirements
- Requirements To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant role you must: • Hold a driving licence, which would be preferred, but not essential. • Confident de-escalating challenging situations. Training would be an advantage but not essential. • Hold a DBS certificate would be an advantage but not essential this can be arranged. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
