Flexible - Part time - Full Time

Are you looking to build experience in schools while supporting children who need that extra bit of guidance? Vision for Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work across a well-regarded school setting in the Lydney area, covering both primary and secondary pupils.

This Learning Support Assistant role offers a great mix of hands-on experience and flexibility, ideal for anyone considering a future in education, SEND, youth work or care.

About the role
• Working as a Learning Support Assistant across a mixed age school environment
• Supporting pupils with a range of needs including SEND, SEMH and communication difficulties
• Providing 1:1 support, small group work and general classroom assistance
• Helping pupils stay engaged, manage routines and build confidence
• Working alongside teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment
• Term time only with a mix of short and longer term placements available

You’ll be joining a setting where smaller groups, clear expectations and strong pastoral support help pupils feel secure and ready to learn.

Training and support
• No school experience needed to get started
• Funded training provided before placement
• Ongoing CPD and support while working as a Learning Support Assistant
• Guidance from a dedicated consultant throughout

About you
• Interested in working with children and young people
• Calm, patient and able to build positive relationships
• Reliable and open to learning new skills
• Experience in care, coaching, youth work or similar is helpful but not essential
• Willing to obtain or already hold an enhanced DBS

Pay and benefits
• £14.24 to £15.50 per hour
• Weekly pay through PAYE
