Teaching Assistant – SEND Support | Primary | Bristol

We are working alongside a welcoming primary school in Bristol to recruit a creative and adaptable Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in a child’s development, supporting learning, confidence and inclusion throughout the school day.

You’ll be joining a nurturing environment where creativity, wellbeing and positive relationships are central to everyday learning. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping children feel safe, supported and ready to engage with their education.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Be positive, patient and resilient in their approach

  • Have an understanding of how children with SEND learn and develop

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff

  • Support inclusion, emotional wellbeing and safeguarding

  • Lead or assist with small group interventions and targeted activities

  • Be flexible and open to adapting support strategies

Experience within an educational setting is beneficial but not essential — the right attitude and commitment are key.


Role Requirements:

  • Part-time and full-time roles

  • Willingness to support pupils with additional and diverse learning needs

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Right to work in the UK
