A qualified L3 Nursery practitioner to join a primary school on a permanent basis.

About the role

Early Years Practitioner – Level 3 (Qualified)
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Permanent (Term-time)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only
Salary: £25,992 – £27,711 FTE (Actual salary £22,352 – £24,366

The School and Role

Join a vibrant and forward-thinking early years team in a Good-rated primary school in Northamptonshire. The setting features three active classrooms and a separate play space tailored for children needing additional support. The environment is well-resourced with a generous garden and expansive playground used throughout the year.

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will serve as a keyworker—collaborating with the Early Years Teacher to support child-led and structured learning. You’ll contribute to planning, deliver creative, playful activities indoors and outdoors, and maintain a secure, welcoming learning environment. Collaboration and flexibility are essential; staff operate in a supportive team that includes peer planning time, training, and a ‘well-being day’—an extra day off when life doesn’t fit into term time

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification, such as CACHE Level 3 Diploma, BTEC National Diploma, NVQ Level 3, or NNEB Certificate

  • Demonstrated 'good to outstanding' early years practices. You’ll be organised, self-motivated, and adept at fostering positive relationships with children, staff, and families

  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting each child's well-being.

  • A proactive, resilient approach and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.

What We Offer

As an Early Years Practitioner, part of our team, you benefit from:

· Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system (rate based on scale level, experience, and qualifications; discussed during registration).
· Guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability).
· Social and networking events.
