The School and Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Uckfield. This is a full-time role, ideal for an experienced teacher or someone returning to the profession who is committed to inspiring young learners and helping them develop their academic and personal skills.
As a Year 1 teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the curriculum, assess pupil progress, and create a nurturing and engaging learning environment. You will play a key role in supporting children’s transition into KS1 and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture.
The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching in KS1, preferably Year 1

A creative, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to teaching

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire pupils

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
