About the role

The successful Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teaching Assistant will be working within a year 6 class in the mornings, working 1:1 with a pupil who is working at a slightly lower than required level. This would be general support through the morning lessons. This is from

In the afternoon the successful KS2 teaching assistant will be conducing intervention sessions with small groups of Y5 pupils, you will be expected to conduct the sessions and provide feedback to the class teacher.

  • You will be expected to provide 1:1 support to the year 6 pupil
  • You will need to be confident and able to work independently to support learning and facilitate each student’s development in a progressive way within the afternoons
  • We will be looking for someone with the right personality and skill set to support young people in fulfilling their best protentional
  • There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school going into September

It is a one form entry school with moderately sized classes with a driven and committed body of staff, who provide a nurturing environment for all pupils. The successful key stage 2 (KS2) teaching assistant will also have the opportunity to work closely with staff throughout the school, as well as parents to plan best courses of action for individual pupils.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of KEY STAGE 2 TEACHING ASSISTANT you will:
  • Must have experience working in a primary setting
  • At minimum hold a level 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Flexibility where required
  • 1:1 experience preferred but not essential

Salary

£325 to £375 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
