Vision for Education are looking to appoint a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply agency and work within a mainstream Primary School in the Newcastle area.

About the role

This position is full-time and is set to commence in September 2022 with the view to extend until July 2023. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children within a classroom environment. Working alongside the class teacher, the TA will be expected to follow planning to support pupils working above, below and achieving the expected level for their age. The candidate must have excellent knowledge of the Curriculum and experience of delivering Read, Write, Inc Phonics would be beneficial.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (KS1 TA) you will:
  • • Hold a minimum of Level 2 Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • • Preferably have experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
  • • Have excellent behaviour management and set high expectations.
  • • Be able to confidently deliver small intervention groups.
  • • Preferably have experience of Read, Write, Inc Phonics.

Salary

£69 to £73 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Level 2 Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
