The School and Role

A Primary School based in Newcastle Upon Tyne are seeking to employ a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to work full-time from May 2026. The successful applicant will be expected to cover across Early Years – Key Stage 2, mainly covering foundation subjects and must be confident with the Primary curriculum. The school are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable candidate to fulfil this role until the end of the academic year with potential to turn permanent.

Requirements

The desired Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will:

- Preferably have experience of working across EYFS – KS2.

- Hold a Level 5 Teaching Qualification or above.

- Have an ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Have a friendly and enthusiastic personality.

- Have an ability to offer differentiated learning and support pupils with SEND.
