Higher Level Teaching Assistant

£110 - £145 per day depending on experience, duration of assignment, training and qualifications

We are seeking supportive, nurturing, creative and inspirational higher level teaching assistants who can provide an individualised and highly personalised learning for their unique class of pupils. This role in particular is supporting children with SLD, PMLD, Learning and Sensory Needs.

The School and Role

Vision for Education are working in partnership with a number of specialist schools within Huddersfield to work with children with ASD, SLD, PMLD, Learning and Sensory Needs.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Be able to undertake a thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service
• Have demonstrable experience of supporting and achieving exceptional outcomes with SEND learners within a mainstream or Special Needs setting
• To be expected to plan from the teachers’ framework and be able to implement a range of purposeful learning activities
• Be expected to support teachers in monitoring and evaluating young people's progress and achievements using a variety of assessments
• Be able to support school sufficiently in what they require
• Driving is not esstenial but advised
