HLTA Role – Primary Setting – Bristol

5 days per week | Term time | Long-term opportunity

We’re working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Bristol area that is seeking a versatile and motivated professional to take on a Learning Support Assistant or Higher Level Teaching Assistant duties.

You will be leading interventions, delivering whole-class sessions and supporting curriculum development alongside teaching staff.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about inclusion, confident in the classroom, and eager to broaden their experience across both support and teaching responsibilities.


The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting children within a primary school setting
• Be confident leading small groups and whole-class sessions
• Demonstrate strong behaviour and pastoral support skills
• Hold high expectations for pupil progress and wellbeing
• Be proactive, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement
• Show a genuine passion for reducing barriers and supporting disadvantaged pupils
• Have knowledge of trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour strategies
• Be enthusiastic, reflective and dedicated to professional development


Role Requirements:

• Experience working as an LSA, TA or HLTA in a school setting
• Confidence delivering interventions and supporting classroom teaching
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
