About the role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work across all key stages in a growing Cwmbran primary school. You will support teachers with lesson planning and delivery, lead small group sessions, and occasionally take responsibility for whole classes in the teacher’s absence.
This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and other support professionals to help every child succeed.
Key responsibilities:

Lead small group sessions and deliver lessons when required

Assist in planning, preparing and adapting lesson materials

Support the academic and emotional development of learners, including those with additional needs

Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families

Promote a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

Contribute to the wider life of the school and its ongoing development
What we’re looking for:

A Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) – this is essential for HLTA roles

Experience working within a primary school setting

Confidence in leading learning activities and managing a class when required

A calm, patient and flexible approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred, not essential)
