If you are patient, understanding, and like supporting others, this could be a great job for you.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support residents with daily living tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
  • Undertake domestic duties such as cleaning and maintaining a safe, tidy environment
  • Provide emotional support and promote independence and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to meet the needs of residents
  • Carry out overnight shifts as part of a rota, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents throughout the night
  • Record and report any changes in health or behaviour, following safeguarding and confidentiality procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care setting is essential.
  • A caring and patient nature, with a genuine desire to support others
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and bank holidays as required
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • An understanding of learning disabilities and a person-centred approach to care
  • Have knowledge of or a willingness to learn about medical procedures, personal care, or therapeutic approaches.
  • Have a proactive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Drive or be willing to use public transport.

  • Full compliance with AWR (Agency Workers’ Regulations), to make sure you get the pay and working conditions you are entitled to.
