Head of Reception phase(Maternity cover)

£200 per day

September 2025 – February 2026

A prestigious all-boys independent school setting are seeking an experienced Teacher of EYFS, to lead the Reception phase from September 2025 – February 2026.

The desirable candidate will successfully oversee the Reception phase of 4 classes, whilst teaching their own class of 18 boys. As a departmental lead, the Head of Reception must communicate upwards to the Leadership team in terms of data and assessment , and motivate their own team of teachers and support staff. They must model excellent standards of teaching, and ensure that this is constant across the department.

It goes without saying that the desirable candidate must ensure that all classes are cheerful and warm places to be. Alongside this, you will need to have exceptional oral and written skills when liaising with parents and guardians.

The role is full time, 5 days per week.

The school is easily accessible from Swiss Cottage and Finchley road station.

Requirements

The desired Head of Reception phase will have;

- QTS

- Able to provide 2 professional references

- Experience of leading an EYFS phase
