An exceptionally rare position has arisen within a reputable independent school in Camden. This popular, over-subscribed setting is seeking Head of Reception to oversee the Reception phase from September 2026 on a 1 year contract.

The successful candidate must ensure that the EYFS provision maintains its high standards of teaching and learning , and that staff are consistently delivering on its promises to parents and children. Data must be collected,interpreted , with the desired action then being implemented across the EYFS team as a result. As a Head of Reception you will uphold the role of designated safeguarding lead, and ensure that excellent links are developed and maintained between EYFS/KS1. Children here learn at an accelerated level , therefore the curriculum offering must be pioneered and kept at its exceptional level.

Experience and training needed for this role include:

Previous experience as an EYFS lead

An understanding of the expectations required when teaching in the independent sector

Qualified Teacher Status
