About the role
The ideal candidate will have prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant (applications from ECTs are welcome), specifically with Autism and complex learning difficulties due to the nature of the students in the class. The ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant will be comfortable in dealing with a variety of SEND needs including Autism, ADHD and Specific Learning Difficulties and working as part of a team with numerous Teaching Assistants within the class.
The ideal candidate will have worked within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and will have delivered phonics-based support.
Experience working in the Primary sector is essential for this role.
- The overarching purpose of the role is to work with pupils who have learning difficulties usually with a statement of Special Educational Needs.
- The ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant will be prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ to support very special young people.
- You will be required to prepare and adapt materials suitable for pupils with learning difficulties to use in class.

The school is the main SEN setting for the Furness area, working closely with students who have various degrees of Autism and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
It is a co-educational site with students ranging from 4-19 years old

- As an EYFS TA, you would be required to meet the holistic needs of the pupils of the children under the direction of the class teacher and senior staff.
- There are opportunities for the role to become a permanent position after a qualifying period is worked.

Salary
£70 to £80 per day
