The Role – Teacher of English – Blackburn, Lancashire

Vision for Education are seeking a committed Teacher of English – Blackburn, Lancashire for a long-term temporary role starting May 2026 through to December 2026.

The successful Teacher of English – Blackburn, Lancashire will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, planning creative lessons, and supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4

  • Planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Assessing, marking and providing constructive feedback to students

  • Supporting pupils to build confidence, literacy skills and academic progress

  • Contributing positively to the wider school environment

This role would suit an experienced Teacher of English – Blackburn, Lancashire or an Early Career Teacher looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a supportive school setting.

  • Have strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
