About the role

As a passionate and engaging English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, well-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire students to develop a love of English while supporting them to reach their full academic potential. Working closely with the wider department and school leadership, you will contribute to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.

This is a long term role, available as soon as possible. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

As an outstanding classroom practitioner, with a drive to improve the life chances of young people through education, the successful applicant:

• Will hold Qualified Teacher Status - QTS

• Must be able to motivate, challenge and inspire pupils to succeed in English

• Must be committed to improving the outcomes for all pupils

• Will hold high expectations of themselves and pupils

• Will have excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and improve practice in themselves and others

• Will be up to date with relevant pedagogy and apply this to their teaching

Able to provide suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
