As an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant – Blackburn, Lancashire, you will be supporting pupils within an Early Years setting on a 1:1 basis. This Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant – Blackburn, Lancashire role will involve working closely with children who have additional needs, including non-verbal pupils with autism and speech and language difficulties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEND in Early Years
  • Supporting non-verbal pupils, including those with autism and speech, language and communication needs
  • Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions
  • Promoting engagement, independence and emotional wellbeing
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers and the wider SEND team
