A prestigious independent school situated in Redbridge are seeking an experienced and committed Early Years Foundation Lead / Head of Early Years. Successful candidates will be employed on a 2-term fixed term contract from January 2026, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent.

The Early Years Foundation Lead / Head of Early Years will oversee a team of 12 (4 Class Teachers and a team of 8 Support staff) and will dedicate their practice in ensuring that standards of teaching and learning, assessment, and offering are kept as high as possible. As well as the coaching and mentoring of the team, they will report into Senior Leadership team regularly and ensure that the curriculum being delivered is rich in experience and drives the children’s ability.

Candidates likely to be successful for the position will have had experience of teaching within the independent sector and would need to have spent significant periods of time in 1 setting.

The school can be reached via Woodford station, and Hampstead tube.

Requirements

The desired Early Years Foundation Lead / Head of Early Years will have;

- A track-record in supporting children at Nursery and Reception age

- Able to provide 2 professional references

- Have a track record of teaching within the private sector
