The School and Role
This 'Outstanding' Primary and Secondary SEND school, based in South Tyneside is looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Early Years 1-2-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-2-1 basis on a full-time basis. Working in this Primary and Secondary SEND school as part of an established team, the desired Early Years 1-2-1 SEN Teaching Assistant will be working with pupils with SEND including Autism, MLD, SLD, ADHD, Specific Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Difficulties. This full time Early Years 1-2-1 SEN Teaching Assistantrole is a full time from February. Experience of working with non-verbal children/young people and use of PECS is desirable. Understanding of Makaton is highly desired.
Requirements
The desired Early Years 1-2-1 SEN Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with EYFS or primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of SEND pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
