The Role

Vision for Education is recruiting passionate individuals with a background in education and care to work as Creative Support Assistants in the Cwmbran area. In this role, you will support classroom teachers by helping pupils access learning and participate in creative activities.

You will work with children and young people aged 3–16 with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), supporting them in developing academic, social, and emotional skills. Support may be provided 1:1 or in small groups, and the age range of the children you work with may vary daily. Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a practical, hands-on approach are essential for this role. Do you currently hold a DBS? Is it on the Update Service? Vision for Education can provide support if required. An enhanced DBS is needed as part of the registration process.

Requirements

The ideal Creative Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children aged 3–16

• Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

• A passion for helping children develop and succeed

• The ability to work as part of a team

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (support available if needed)

• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – assistance available
