Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local SEMH schools near Scunthorpe. This position is full time and permanent starting from September.

About the role

The desired Cover Supervisor will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners, who put children at the heart of everything they do. Cover supervisors do not require Qualified Teacher Status, although desirable.

They involve delivering pre-set work for a variety of subjects while ensuring the continuation of education for all pupils. The Cover supervisor role is ideal for those looking to go into teaching. They provide a perfect opportunity to gain experience, giving you a great insight into working in schools.

This is a full time permanent role starting in September 2022.

About the school

The school is an independent SEMH setting on the outskirts of Scunthorpe. They are a nurturing and supportive setting with a well developed and understanding Senior Leadership Team. The school has an upper and lower setting and so confidence teaching across primary and secondary is required.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor you will:
  • Have experience working with SEMH students
  • Great classroom management skills
  • Experience of working with young people in some capacity, e.g. coaching
  • Ideally a degree, but this is not essential

Salary

£450 to £500 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience with SEMH students is a must
