Role: Cover Supervisor

Location: Haringey

Pay: £90 - £145 per day

Start date: As soon as possible

Smart Teachers are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of well-established secondary schools in London Borough of Haringey. This will be for day to day cover.

Due to increased demand, we are looking for individuals who can step into classrooms at short notice, supervise pre-set work, and maintain a focused learning environment across KS3–KS4.

The Role:

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absence
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a range of subjects
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Ensure students remain on task and complete assigned work
• Provide clear feedback to teaching staff following lessons

Opportunities are available for day-to-day supply, short-term cover, and longer-term placements.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Confident leading a classroom independently
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Graduates considering a career in teaching are encouraged to apply
