Cover Supervisors – SEND Schools (Birmingham)

We work with warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities) schools in Birmingham, dedicated to providing high-quality education, care, and support to pupils with a range of additional needs.

The Role
We are seeking confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our agency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is motivated by making a meaningful impact each day. You will be stepping into different classrooms to deliver planned lessons, support learning, and maintain a positive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and across different key stages
• Support pupils with diverse needs including Autism, MLD, SLD, SEMH, and complex needs
• Create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment and be able to follow daily routines, ensuring a consistent day for the pupils
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff
• Build positive relationships with pupils and support staff
• Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and behaviour support strategies

About you:

To be considered for the Cover Supervisor role, you will:

Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant teaching/covering experience

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
