Cover Supervisor – Secondary
Location: Hull & East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: May 2026
Salary: £90 – £120 per day (dependent on experience and assignment)

The Role

Vision for Education are seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire from May 2026.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects. This role does not require planning or marking but does require strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in their learning.

This position is ideal for graduates and aspiring teachers who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training. Vision for Education also offer a comprehensive training course to help you prepare for the role and build confidence in the classroom.

You will have the flexibility to choose from daily supply, short-term, and longer-term placements, making this a great opportunity for those seeking either full-time or part-time work.

Vision for Education work in partnership with a wide network of secondary schools across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire, including academies, maintained schools, and multi-academy trusts. Requirements

To be considered for the role of Cover Supervisor – Secondary, you will:

• Have a degree or relevant experience working with young people
• Be confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour
• Be adaptable, organised, and reliable
• Have strong communication skills
• Be passionate about working with young people and supporting their learning
• Be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service

Experience working in a school setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
