Vision For Education are working in partnership with a large Grammer School based in Tunbridge Wells for a Cover Supervisor to start in September 2024 on a full-time basis.

The Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join the dedicated cover team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and looking to gain valuable experience in a school environment. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of students’ education during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Classes: Manage classrooms effectively, ensuring that students remain engaged and productive in the absence of their regular teacher.
- Deliver Pre-set Work: Provide students with pre-prepared lesson plans and materials, ensuring that learning objectives are met.
- Maintain Classroom Discipline: Uphold school policies on behavior and discipline, creating a positive and respectful classroom environment.
- Support Student Learning: Assist students with their work, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Administrative Duties: Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as recording attendance and reporting any issues to the relevant staff members.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualifications: Minimum of English and Mathematics GCSE at Grade C or above.
- Experience: Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Personal Qualities: Reliable, flexible, and able to remain calm under pressure. A positive attitude towards students and a commitment to their educational development is essential.
