Vision for Education are seeking a Complex Sensory Support worker who can take a different approach to providing day opportunities for children with Special Educational Needs aged 5-11.

About the role

As a Complex Sensory Support worker, you will offer a fantastic range of activities designed to stimulate and challenge the children that you are supporting on a day-to-day basis. A complex Sensory Support worker will have adhered to a support plan and help to choose how to spend days supporting the children they are supporting. As a skilled specialist member of staff you will work closely with the children to develop their independent living and life skills. It will be your role as a Complex Sensory Support worker to be creative and express yourself through all sorts of activities, including arts and crafts, sport and exercise, trips, technology, and work experience to maintain engagement from the children you support.

The specialist schools cater for students in with communication and interaction problems, learning difficulties, social or emotional issues and visual or hearing impairments. Requirements

To be considered for the role of Complex Sensory Support you will:
  • To be considered for the Complex Sensory Support role you must: • Hold a driving licence, which would be preferred, but not essential. • Be Comfortable with personal care in numerous settings. • Confident de-escalating challenging situations. Training would be an advantage but not essential. • Hold a DBS certificate would be an advantage but not essential this can be arranged. Salary

£10 to £10 per hour
