The School and Role
We are seeking a hardworking and creative Catering and Hospitality Teacher to join a progressive 11–16 secondary school in September. The successful Catering and Hospitality Teacher will join a forward-thinking team in a school that is part of a well-established Multi-Academy Trust. High expectations are set for all students, and the school is committed to removing barriers to learning.
This is a Catering and Hospitality Teacher position on a temp-to-perm basis. After an initial 18-week period, the school intends to offer the Catering and Hospitality Teacher a permanent contract.
Qualified Teacher Status is not required for this role, as the school is looking to appoint a Catering and Hospitality who will grow and adapt with the school. As the Catering and Hospitality Teacher, you will be fully supported by the DT Technician, who will be in classes to help with classroom management and equipment. It will be your role as the Catering and Hospitality Teacher to plan, prepare and deliver lessons in Catering and Hospitality up to GCSE. You will also be responsible for behaviour management and safeguarding.
Requirements
The desired Catering and Hospitality Teacher will:
- Plan, deliver and teach Catering and Hospitality lessons and sequences at both KS3 and KS4.
- Ensure that all students make progress through monitoring and supporting individual children and teaching groups.
- Promote and support the inclusion of students, including those with specific needs.
- Have effective communication skills, be reliable and hardworking individual.
