Vision for Education is currently recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to work in SEND schools across Durham. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and resilient individual who is passionate about supporting young people aged 3–18 with Autism (ASC), SEMH, and additional needs.

You will work closely with pupils who may find mainstream education challenging, providing consistent behaviour support, promoting emotional regulation, and helping them positively re-engage with learning. Small class sizes allow you to build meaningful relationships and make a genuine difference every day.

The Ideal Behaviour Support Worker Will Have:

  • Experience supporting young people with Autism (ASC), SEMH, or additional needs

  • A strong commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

  • A calm, proactive, and adaptable approach

  • Confidence supporting and positively managing behaviour

  • The ability to thrive in fast-paced environments

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
