Vision for Education are seeking those looking to for Behaviour Teaching Assistance to work on supply. Working in schools in our local communities you will support children with Special Education Needs and Disabilities.

About the role

Vision for Education is seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant for Key Stage 3 working in local Pupil Referral Unit school in Thirsk, starting in ASAP. Working supply on a one-to-one basis and general classroom support in a friendly and supportive specialist setting, with children aged 11-14 who require additional support due to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health in a Pupil Referral Unit. This opportunity is perfect for someone with previous experience working in a Pupil Referral or someone who has worked in a support role in a mainstream classroom setting.

About the school

The specialist school caters for students who are not in a mainstream setting to give them additional support with communication and interaction problems, learning difficulties and social or emotional issues. The school offers a strong support team for all their staff, and the permanent staff pride themselves on their child-centred approach.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Requirements To be considered for the Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant role you must: • Hold a driving licence, which would be preferred, but not essential. • Confident de-escalating challenging situations. Training would be an advantage but not essential. • Hold a DBS certificate would be an advantage but not essential this can be arranged. Salary

£10 to £10 per hour
