Bank Primary Teacher

Across Bristol

Vision for Education are seeking qualified Bank Primary Teachers to join our bank staff team, working across a range of mainstream primary schools throughout Bristol. This role is ideal for teachers looking for flexible, ad-hoc, or short-term work, whether you’re balancing other commitments or exploring different school settings.


About the role:

As a Bank Primary Teacher, you will provide high-quality teaching and classroom cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, adapting quickly to different schools and year groups.

The role will include:

  • Delivering engaging, effective lessons in line with school planning

  • Providing classroom cover for short-term and day-to-day absences

  • Maintaining a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies

  • Assessing pupil understanding and providing feedback where required

  • Working collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning

  • Adapting confidently to different schools, year groups, and routines

Working pattern: Flexible bank work, term time
Location: Primary schools across Bristol
Travel: Ability to drive is essential due to multiple school locations

About you:

The successful Bank Primary Teacher will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle (essential)

  • Have experience teaching in UK primary schools

  • Be confident delivering lessons across the primary age range

  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Be adaptable, reliable, and professional

  • Be able to provide suitable references and hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS
