Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to work within a college environment, supporting students with autism to achieve their academic and personal goals. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in young people’s lives.

The Role:

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support for students with autism, helping them to thrive in their learning
  • Support students to access the curriculum while building confidence and independence
  • Foster emotional regulation, communication, and positive social interaction
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEN teams, and external professionals to deliver high-quality support
  • Implement personalised strategies tailored to each student’s unique needs
  • Track progress and maintain clear, accurate records
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued

    About you:

To be considered for the Autism Support Specialist role, you will:

Hold suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
