Vision for Education are recruiting for an Autism Support Assistant in Lancaster on a full-time, long-term basis which is due to start in May 2024. Salary will be £375 - £450 per week.
About the role
Vision for Education are recruiting for an Autism Support Assistant for a SEND specialist FE setting in Lancaster. The role is full time (Monday to Friday) which will start as soon as possible in May 2024 and could result in a permanent contract from the setting.
The role will be working as an additional support in the classroom, working with students in small groups and 1:1 with students with Autism to support them with both life based skills, alongside a flexible curriculum in the core subjects (English and Maths).
About the school
The school is the main local FE provider for students aged over 16 years old with generic and complex learning needs. Each child has a care, health and education plan in place to support with their daily routine and activities planned at school which are differentiated to suit each child.
The school is also based in a great location and is very close to popular bus routes, making the school easily accessible from nearby areas such as Morecambe, Carnforth and Preston.
Requirements
- Someone who has worked with children, young people, or vulnerable adults in any capacity
- Someone who may have experience with supporting people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Someone with great patience, drive, and determination
- Someone looking to extend and expand their skillset

Salary
£375 to £450 per week
