School Admin Officer roles within Swansea primary schools

About the role

School Admin Officer

  • Day to day short term and long term positions available
  • Term time only placements
  • Mon – Fri full day and part day placements to suit your availability
  • Hourly pay rate starting from £14.24 with pay processed weekly via our in house Payroll Department

Vision for Education are looking to register School Admin Officers for primary schools based within Swansea. We will be able to provide short and long term placements dependent on school requirements and your availability for work. Placements can either cover the full school day or over set hours and will be term time only. Each school will provide full training and expectations for their specific job role requirements.

We are urgently seeking highly motivated, proactive, and efficient admin officers who can confidently manage the day to day running of the school and be the first point of contact for visitors, parents and pupils. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a calm and patient manner.

Key Responsibilities for a School Admin Officer:

  • Provide administrative support to the school leadership team, teaching and support staff
  • Manage reception duties, including answering telephone calls, greeting visitors and assisting with parent/carer queries in person
  • Handle correspondence, emails, and general enquiries
  • Maintain and update pupil attendance records and databases
  • Record pupil lunch requests and any other pupil specific requests
  • Liaise with the Headteacher/Senior Leadership Team regarding any concerns or urgent matters as and when required

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working within an administrative role (ideally within a school-based setting)
  • The ability to use general IT systems
  • The ability to multitask, work efficiently and have strong organisational skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
