Behaviour Mentor (Full Time – Sept 2025)

The role
Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to join a Primary school in Leeds to start Sept 2025 on a Full-Time basis. The ideal candidate will preferably hold a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (but not essential) and will have recent experience in a Primary School working as a Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or a similar supportive role. You will be supporting a KS1 child with SEMH needs who is about to be reintergrated back into mainstream education. They may show challenging behaviours, so previous behaviour management experience would be preferrable.

The desired Behaviour Mentor will:

- Have experience working with Primary School aged children

- Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour

- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of support staff

- Have experience of supporting the development and implementation of individual behaviour/SEND action plans for targeted pupils who need support
