Vision for Education are currently working alongside a range of Special Educational Needs schools in Tameside looking for 1:1 Teaching Assistants.
The Role
- You will be expected to provide support to students with a range of special education needs and disabilities in the classroom on a 1:1 basis
- You will need to be confident and able to work independently to support learning and facilitate each student’s development in a progressive way
- We will be looking for someone with the right personality and skill set to support young people in fulfilling their best protentional
- There are opportunities for the role to become permanent with the school after a qualifying period
About the school
The school
- We support a range of inclusive and well-established SEN schools in Oldham that cater for primary and secondary aged students
- Students are placed in classes based on their ability as well as their age
- Class sizes are small with a high staff to pupil ratio
- You will have the opportunity to work closely with staff, parents, and carers to ensure the pupils you support are engaged in learning
Requirements
- Have a desire to work with children with special educational needs and disabilities
- Have a confident, positive, and caring personality
- Be willing to work in Tameside
- Have relevant experience of working with children and young people
