Vision for Education are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Y5 pupil with global delay. Monday-Friday: 9:30-14:30. Until July 2022 .

About the role

The successful 1:1 teaching assistant will be working with a year 5 pupil with global delay, supporting their learning throughout the day and helping out with other class duties where required. You will work under the direct instruction of the class teacher. To support access learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. The Year 5 pupil doesn't need constant support on all tasks, so there will be a requirement for general teaching assistant duties at times, but with certain tasks there will be a need to work 1:1 with the pupil outside of the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work in an Ofsted 'OUTSATNDING' school in the FY4 area for a prolonged period with the opportunity to be expended to a permanent contract. Experience working 1:1 is preferable but not essential.

This is an Outstanding school set in South Blackpool (FY4), this is an average sized school with the year 5 class you will be working in having 22 pupils. The school adopts an inclusive and nurturing approach to learning, they have a brilliant track record of professionally developing staff within the school. Students are provided a calm and supportive environment in which they can develop and learn within a safe environment.

This role is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door at a top mainstream primary school in the area.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Must have experience working in a primary school setting
  • Must hold a Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent
  • 1:1 experience preferable but not essential
  • Flexibility where required
  • Have a genuine desire to join a dedicated team and commit to the school

Salary

£11 to £14 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Experience in a primary school setting
