About the role

Are you looking to support a specific child with SEND on a 1:1 basis?

You will provide targeted support to a pupil with SEND including Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, sensory and/or speech and language needs, helping them access learning and engage in school life. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to tailor strategies to the pupil’s EHCP.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly autism.

  • Desirable to hold at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

  • Positive and proactive approach in supporting students with SEND needs.

  • Understanding of sensory strategies and adapting learning towards need.

Salary

£450 to £550 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
  • Desirable to hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification as a minimum.
  • Essential to have prior experience working within a school, either as a Teaching Assistant or support staff within a classroom environment.
