Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, Term Time)

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a primary-aged pupil at a supportive school in Romford. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is nurturing, patient, and able to build strong relationships with children who require additional support.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs)

• Assisting with learning activities, behaviour support, and daily routines

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to adapt resources and strategies

• Helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting

• A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A valid DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
