1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (High Needs) – Full-Time – Romford
Location: Romford, London
Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – High Needs
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, Term Time Only)

Vision for Education is working closely with a warm and inclusive primary school in Romford to recruit a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with high needs, requiring close attention and consistent support throughout the school day.
The Role:

Supporting a pupil with high and complex SEN needs on a 1:1 basis

Delivering tailored interventions and managing behaviour support plans
-
Assisting with personal care and mobility needs, where required
-
Collaborating closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals
-
Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Experience supporting children with high or complex SEN needs (e.g., non-verbal, autism, SEMH, PMLD)

A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
-
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
-
A current DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
-
Team Teach, PECS, or Makaton training (desirable but not essential)
