Primary Teaching Assistant – National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP)
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only
Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
Vision for Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Colchester to recruit a Teaching Assistant through the National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP).
This role is ideal for individuals looking to start or develop a career in education, gain classroom experience, and work towards a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification while earning.
The Role:

Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (dependent on school needs)

Working alongside the class teacher to support learning activities

Providing one-to-one or small group support, including for pupils with SEN

Assisting with behaviour management, routines, and engagement

Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:

Has experience working with children (school-based or transferable experience welcomed)

Is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing

Able to work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teaching staff

Willing to complete training as part of the National Teaching Assistant Programme

Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
