Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Primary SEN Provision

Job Duties:

• Provide 1:1 support to students in a primary SEN provision setting
• Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans
• Support students with their learning and development
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English
• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Relevant teaching assistant qualification or equivalent

Experience:

Experience working in a similar role within a primary school

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of special educational needs and how to support students effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children achieve their potential

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional training in SEN support
• First aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom setting within a primary school. The work may be physically demanding at times, and the successful candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable in their approach.
