About the role


About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated Youth Worker to support children and young people on a 1:1 and small group basis at a specialist school in Bristol. You will help students navigate their daily school routines and engage in activities designed to build confidence, improve social and emotional development, and raise educational outcomes.

In this rewarding role, you'll also work closely with families and social workers to promote school attendance, emotional well-being, and a commitment to education.


About the School

This Special School in Bristol supports children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who have been removed from mainstream education. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where each pupil receives the individualised support they need to thrive.


What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A passion for providing a safe space for vulnerable children and young people

  • A positive and resilient attitude, with a genuine passion for supporting young people

  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:15 am – 3:45 pm (term time only)

  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehile is advantageous

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
