Vision for education are seeking a Youth Engagement Worker to join a SEN based school in the Doncaster area.
About the role
Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a Youth Engagement Support Worker to support students with SEND. This will be teaching Key Stage 1 up to key stage 4 pupils starting from September 2022. As Youth Engagement Worker, you will be required to be patient, calm and empathetic, and hold the ability to engage young people, and motivate them to achieve and overcome any barriers to learning. The successful candidate must have a sound knowledge of Maths, English and functional skills.

This provision specialises in the education of young people who are disengaged from education, may have EHCP’s and have social and emotional needs.
Requirements
- • Have a minimum of 20 days experience in a school-based support role
- • A reference to cover a 6-week period (this does not have to be full time) experience on a relevant setting as above
- • Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
- • Able to engage with and support young people who are disengaged from mainstream education
- • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one
- • The ability to work on initiative and proactively
- • The desire to work with young people with special educational needs
- • Available full time

Salary
£350 to £400 per week
- Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: 6 weeks referenceable experience within a relevant setting
