About the role

Youth Behaviour Mentor – Bristol Area

£14.24 per hour (subject to increase) | 08:15am – 15:45pm | Full-time / Long-term

Vision for Education are proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected specialist provision in the Bristol area to recruit a dedicated Youth Behaviour Mentor to join their supportive and forward-thinking team.


About the Role

As a Youth Behaviour Mentor, you will support pupils aged 4–19 with a wide range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviours, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties, and Complex Needs.

You will work closely with class teachers and multi-disciplinary teams to:

  • Support pupils with communication, interaction and emotional regulation
  • Deliver tailored learning activities in a structured, nurturing environment
  • Promote independence, life skills and positive behaviour
  • Build meaningful relationships that help pupils thrive

This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same, and every day you will see the positive impact of your support.

If You Are Joining as a Trainee Youth Behaviour Mentor

Vision for Education will provide you with additional training courses to complete after a successful interview, including:

  • Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Behaviour Management
  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Introduction to Being a Teaching Assistant

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (or a strong desire to learn)
  • Is patient, resilient and empathetic
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Is proactive and adaptable in a dynamic classroom environment
