About the role

Vision for Education is looking to appoint several Youth Mentors to join our successful team, to work in an alternative setting in Wakefield. This is a full time role that will commence asap. Working as part of a creative and dynamic team, the candidate will be working with a number of students with challenging behaviour.

This Youth mentor role will involve working with students, supporting them with their daily school routine within a residential setting. Experience in a similar role is essential and a Team-Teach qualification is desirable (but not essential, as training can be provided).

Requirements

To be considered for the role of SEMH - Youth Mentor you will:
  • Have experience working with SEND learners specifically mental health
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
  • Have experience managing challenging behaviour

Salary

£85 to £95 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Relevant experience in the past few years working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
