Vision for Education are seeking tutors who can support children with special educational needs and disabilities
About the role
Supporting children who are no longer in mainstream education in a alternative provision or residential setting with a friendly and supportive care team. The children are aged 7 to 11suffer with special educational needs and disabilities. As part of your role, you will engage with them on a personal and educational level to raise engagement. You will support their education in an alternative school setting or support them to transition back to a school setting.
About the school
The alternative provisions and residential settings cater for children who have been taken out of mainstream school or are transitioning back into a education. The students suffer with interaction, learning difficulties and express social and emotional issues. In this challenging role you will provide tuition in alternative provisions, at home or in other settings such as a local library or hub. You will be full supported in every setting you work. Access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
Requirements
- To be considered for the SEN Tutor role you must: • Experience in tutoring would be beneficial • Hold a driving licence, which would be preferred, but not essential. • A DBS Certificate is an advantage but not essential, this can be arranged. • Be Comfortable with personal care in numerous settings. Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children and young people. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary
£100 to £500 per week
- Salary depending on placement, full-time or part-time basis
