About the Role

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support classroom teachers with day-to-day tasks and pupil learning

  • Help manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment

  • Assist with small group or one-on-one interventions, including support for children with special educational needs (SEND)

  • Contribute to tracking progress and reporting on pupil development

  • Become a vital member of the school community, playing a key role in children’s success


What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this programme, you will need to:

  • Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children

  • Show strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Be committed to completing the required training and engaging in continuous professional development

  • Understand the importance of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

  • Be able to clearly explain why you want to work in education and what you hope to achieve in the role

  • Be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check and register it with the Update Service

No formal experience or qualifications are required—just the right attitude and a genuine passion for working with young people.
